This wasn't a, "hi, we're selling gold" post it was discussing a secure center for trade between the developed cities using gold as their currency.

People don't get it yet. Koya is offering a secure location.

Someone stole some items from a claimed area in Constantinople barter stand. I tracked the scents to the hf. The hf was too easy to find (no pali, nothing but a rock hiding it), I also noticed way to many easy LP indicators. I left the hf in search of the goods and sure enough, different location.

Apparently, its way too easy to steal from nople. Create an alt with theft, transport item's distributing them to numerous locations., rinse and repeat until the alt dies. Recreate new alt and start cycle again. If by chance someone who is inexperienced kills the thief, they too may get killed for murder just trying to get items back or killing thief..

Unless Sodom patrols the area (constantinople) 24/7 or goes after every scent, which would be impossible Koya has the right plan. Start combining the strength of the major cities for 24/7 trade and protection and spread availability to the hearth lands.

I don't feel like reading through 43 posts, but wouldn't developed cities already have quite high items/nodes/what have you, what would trading between almost carbon copy villages accomplish? :ugeek: :ugeek:

There are certain scents we do track, but yes in general an 'open trading area' isn't that great. No one really gets robbed at gunpoint in nople though, or if they do it's super rare as I've never heard of it, typically people stealing when no one is there.

Now, all is fine and dandy in a more secure environment, but just allowing people access makes it a bit insecure, especially the amount of people he wants to allow in.

As it stands:
BN - Probably has everything they need
Sodom - Has everything we need (Except this griefing which should be back to norm in a week at most)
AD - Probably has everything they need
Goons - No jeweler

It'd all be selling high quality resources really, that's about it between these 4. Other than that peddling our stuff to other villages that can't make these things, which is fine and all I guess.

I took it as trading between the major factions would be a start.

btw, I thought the goons were pretty much gone.

But as for the rest of the hearthlings out there Constantinople is just a gamble then as far as the vending stands go.

gamble #1 will someone steal
gamble #2 if Sodom doesn't pursue criminal then items are lost.
gamble #3 If individual pursues criminal and kills them, possibility of dying themselves with left behind murder scents.

So it then means everyone out there must join up with one of these 4 (3) factions for any meaningful advancement.

I still think we should give Koya's Idea a try, especially since the veteran players are getting bored.

This won't solve the boredom, I don't think anything will short of a reset (many will just quit) or a really good update.

We're at a point where everything is stagnant, all goals have been reached, what do you expect?
