Teh point is: epeen. Just people with small penises and no virility at all find joy in humiliating and degrading their enemies by torture. Whats wrong with you? Guys get some maturity, though you'r wasting time with computergames. The last thing i want to see in real life or in a computergame is people torturing other people.

I'd like to see some statistics for that. I'm hung like a horse but enjoy kicking small cats and children.

you're one lame motherfucker

It's just not something I expect/want to see in this game. In Space Station 13 you've got people toolboxing each other, cuffing others to chairs and screwdriving them in the face, people getting shoved into meat processors, people exploding with blood and guts everywhere, etc. It's just common there and funny, but somehow medieval torture methods seem like they'd be too serious for this game. This is mostly just some innocent little farming game currently with any kind of PvP/death being fairly rare, and even those things are played up to be big deals.

More like you log in to find your live character being slowly torn apart and you have to wait a few hours before your character will finally die and you can create a new one. It wouldn't be torture if it was instantaneous. Meanwhile, the perpetrators are trying to find out if any other torture methods are available since they've acquired a taste for it and then they flood this forum with new torture requests because it's so cool n funy n cool n
I think it would be fine if they could mess with the skeleton (skull on post, bone throne, etc.), but torture seems kinda 4chan.

No I definitely wouldn't mind more torture methods or other gruesome themes. When I was still designing myth stuff for the game a couple of ideas were querns sometimes mysteriously grinding blood at odd times, and such. :)

Well, as long as it clearly leans one way, but I imagine it would be more rare than this world's deaths (unless things are changed to make death more common). It doesn't seem too meaningful to add something that pretty much nobody would get to use (aside from on their alts). I think it would just be used for its little shock value rather than for setting an example or whatever. I'd like to be able to hold my breath and kill myself quick rather than wait for some torture process to go through if torture is added.

Necropost, but has to be said:

Gibbets to hang bodies and skeletons off from, or gallows with hung men - both would add substantially to the flavor of villages and settlements in the game. Dragging bodies should be generally useful, of course, if you fall and need help.

Ok well this all can't be just for show, their would need to be some real effect happening here as theirs no pain the next best thing is some kind of de-buff applied to the player character. Perhaps a class of scents would allow a middle ground between summon and non-summon in which you can torture but not kill the criminal and apply some kind of nasty and reasonably long lasting or even permanent de-buff. The type and quality of the torture device would determine the type and severity of the de-buff.
