Allow players to delete characters.

I'm not sure if there would be any actual ramifications for doing this (I'm still rather new to the game), but I think it's time that you allowed people to delete characters so names can be reused.

I ask because I'm obsessive. I'm also one of those people who like to make multiple character, or re-make characters with the same name. H&H's current system doesn't allow this, and it's literally driving me up the wall.

If a character dies, you can of course become his descendant. Allow us to delete this in case we want to remake our character with the same name. If you already have a character that is a descendant of the original, THEN don't allow them to delete it until the descendant is also deleted. Or allow us to delete the original, which will also delete the descendant (Back to the Future!).

Seriously guys, it might not bother you, but I'm a bit OCD and it's making me crazy. My first character is using the name of my first fantasy game character (from EverQuest, I was born a bit late for D&D) and it kills me that I can't use it again on my account.

Enable deletion of character, and thus removes all inheritence, claims, and leaves villages with that character being chief, being removed.

Character deletion requires them to exist for 12 hours first.

Perhaps make it where if a character steals something, it cannot be deleted for 24 or so hours?

There has to be a solution. I'm literally having trouble making a name because I know that if I die, I'll lose it forever.

It's not about the creativity, really. More about me losing my character name, etc. When you're OCD about this kind of stuff, it really hampers on the game itself for you.

You can just drown currently.

You can never use the character name again. Do you want to suicide at some point? Should you use a dummy name first?
You have to suffer along by adding a number or, unusually, H&H allows "John Smith " to be used after "John Smith" dies.
If you just drown the character, then it bothers you that you have some person's phantom grave in the spawn room.

Alts on the character selection screen that feel like they're going to crowd out your main and you'll forget about them.

What is wrong with my head please help.

I slightly agonize over this, but I just pick a name. It's not like it's really that important to gameplay. The community is also apathetic to RP.
