This idea is genius and would be a great addition to the game

Like to put my stamp on this as well, love the idea of adding remembrance for our dead and the like. Damn fine idea.

I like the idea a lot, but it seems to lack incentive to bury someone with their belongings. The only thing it does is preserve them if someone else comes along and tries to loot them, so you're basically building something with the intent of having it vandalized. Perhaps when you bury someone, sort of like when you dig them up, you get a portion of their LP as a sort of "Reward" for honoring their remains, and if you bury them intact with all their items the reward is much greater?

The hardest part in my mind with this system, even as stated, is it would be easy to exploit. What stops a person from just burying, digging up, and burying a corpse over and over for the dig-up LP reward? Perhaps when you dig up a corpse instead of an intact skeleton, you get a "Decayed Corpse" or something similar that you can no longer bury.

It could just require a lot of stamina, like plowing a field. If I wanted, I could plow, pave, and grass an area for good lp gain. Interesting point, though.

I would like to do that, but instead of making it a mausoleum, I'd rather seal the damn raiding mole rats in there for all eternity for wiping out my village and attempting to defile the mines that we made.

And you can only get the 'honouring' XP for burying those on your kin list. Otherwise you'll never see another corpse because everyone wants some LP from that random newbie who died to a rabbit.

Perhaps to deter people from spamming bury-raid-bury or from people looting every tomb they see, maybe a grave robber will be cursed if they dig up a grave, which has negative impact on the robber (the higher quality of the grave the nastier the curse).

A catacomb would be epic. It's actually not hard to make a catacomb right now(not talking about skeletons in walls or something). Tunnels? mine them out. Skeletons? Just lay skeletons along the road and that road leads into a big room mines out. Gives me ideas :D
