Awesome :D
But it'd be even better if minimap was visible. I'd love to see general terrain shapes.

ok I saw the topic about reset that say restart at end of next month?
but you wrote "ejoy. In a week or so."
does it mean restart will be earlier ? (or you will add this without reset?.. someway)

I really like the first one, looks natural. Is that a peat bog or meadow or something?

Mountains are kind of funky though. Will there be boulder piles? Firs?

Will ridges have the ability to make dead ends now?

but most importantly,

On a macro level the map gen still operates ön the macaroni art principle. It has, however, been improved in several important ways -- rivers, to name one -- so it looks a whole lot better now than it used to. On an ingame level, the terrain features look great, IMHO.

The mountain ridges are designed to interact well with palisades, walls and fences.

The map reset will, most likely, mean a clean swipe of equipment and inventory. Skills, stats and LP will remain.

Ingame minimap/other map features/ will remain lackluster for a while, but we hope to introduce a cartography skill soonish.

The terrain in the first screenshot is a heath.

Thanks for all the compliments. I'm very excited to be bringing this ship to port soon.

... and, I might as well say it now; Be very, very careful when you take your character swimming. I would not be surprised in the slightest if drowning became a fairly common cause of (stupid) death. :)

Will there be impassable areas, like tall cliffs or rock walls in mountain areas?

Or will you still be able to walk over everything?

How about animating the water? you could just use an alpha blended overlay texture with moving white lines to do it, for example (5 mins work):
