We need to revise how damage is calculated maybe...

Or just make it so that insane 900+ skills are not easily reachable thru botting, and balance the game from there

You joined 3 days ago that's not possible unless you played all that time nonstop and earned over 500k an hour :|

I have a different account for the forum and in game. How is that hard to understand?

And gets nothing but troll monkeys flinging troll monkey poo at him for his attempt.

Just look at the first person to respond; he is a player that devotes A) stupid amounts of time to this game or B) has a bot/macro/script that devotes stupid amounts of time to this game for him.

Its really not such a terrible idea, sure its rough, but this is the forum for forging rough ideas into workable ones.

But its too bad this idea would help to balance the game somewhat and that isnt really what HnH is about, now is it.

Even with diminishing rates of return on lp people will still continue to grind like no other and/or bot. You're not going to stop competitive people unless to make it so they can't gain lp at all at a certain point and if that was introduced i highly doubt they would care to play anymore since you basically ruined the game for them just so casuals can have a easier time.

The game should be competitive. But the competition should be about finding people to trust, distributing labor in a town, making political connections, figuring out recipies, scouting the enemy and tactically destroying them.

The competition should NOT be trying to endure one more hour of bucket grinding than the other MMO-slave so you can gib him. Who seriously wants to play a game where people test their tedium endurance against others?

Is the hardcore grinder/botter still going to get 3x as much LP as I am per day? Sure... and it's fine for there to be an advantage to heavy LP activity. But there's a difference between that and him getting 300x as much and being able to wander around instagibbing people who actually play the game for enjoyment and explore all its features.

There's a difference between griefers having to plan out their skills, secure their hearthvaults, get neutrality with scary powers before they go on a noob-killing spree... and not bothering to do any of that because if they die, they can lolgrind up to murder and 60skills again in a few hours.

There's a difference between someone discovering a bot, killing it, thinking "I probably just set that botter back a few hours..".. and bots hardly existing any more because the LP boost you get from botting isn't much worth the increased rate of being hunted down.

And despite all the trolling I haven't heard any alternatives in this topic yet.

Even better, tell me why you think this suggestion would make the situation worse.

+1 to OP, although the idea could use modification.

The emphasis on the game should not be on repetitive clicking.

Diminishing returns are already there, as skill cost increases and effect decreases the more you have.

You'd get less LP from grinding. You'd get more LP from not grinding. Grinders would still get more total LP, but the difference is narrowed.

So this system encourages grinding even more.. how?
