What are the chances this system might get implemented this year? Did you mention somewhere else that the game is not being developed now? :(

Development on H&H is on hold while they work on their other baby. No chance of seeing Curiosities in H&H in 2011, imo.

put more materials to objects that only requires one kind of material (crates, buckets) and reduce the lp gain from low tier ones (baskets for example)

and ffs, buff mining and animal spawn/lp

And it's not just that I'd lose LP if I don't, in your proposal I'd be physically incapable of farming any more.

Giving LP for activities was a flawed concept from the get go. Curiosities achieve the goals you're going for in a much less intrusive fashion. If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it's basically getting LP from items which takes some time, and you get those items for pretty much anything you do. The important part is that you can't have two curiosities of the same type active at once, so while you could grind up a million treecutting-based curiosities, someone who has a wide array of curiosities would still leave you in the dust due to much better LP gain rate. What this means in practice is that I can farm all I want without the game forcing me to stop, and then exchange my excess farming curiosities for somebody else's excess hunting curiosities. This would naturally lead to a significant rise in trade, cooperation within villages and general player interaction, which is what MMOs are all about.

Was this aimed at my suggestion of unhappiness? Because I believe I specifically mention farming as an example of an activity that would barely reduce Happiness, especially with full Nature PB. Of course you could say that you really like another activity and that should be easy on your unhappiness instead, well... if you like both, do one for a bit and then the other for a bit and have the relevant sliders in the right place... If you actually go out farming all day in real life you will be slower at the end of the day, when you've been doing it for a while, but you'll also be more skilled at it, because you've earned LP and spent it on farming.

You could also link the amount of unhappiness from an activity to the relevant skill, someone who is good at something doesn't dislike it as much, that makes sense, but then newbies would find it hard to do anything. Then we get into a complicated mix of total LP, skill level, personal beliefs and time since you last did that action, not to mention each activities weighting.

You know, there is a simple fix for this.
NERF THE BUCKET LP.
Because seriously? You can't make a bucket with one board anyway. Either
1: Nerf the bucket LP to 0
Or
2: Add more board requirements and nerf the LP
But,your fix was really retarded
Edit: I didn't look through the thread to realize the LP for buckets were nerfed. Thank jorb :D.
@Butko and all those bucket grinders
