I read the first post, thought OP had some sense and then read the rest of the first page and quickly found out I was wrong.
Only problem I see long distance with this is that since after you 'find' everything LP is basically spent on how much attention you have and what you're studying, the game quickly becomes about who has been the best for the longest. What are the chances of someone joining 2 months into the game ever reaching the LP of a person who started at launch?
An example, let's say all discoveries total to 50k LP, and with the best curiosities you can get 100k LP/day with minimal time investment (I assume however that there will be shorter but more LP-worth discoveries to attempt to balance this).
A person who joins on Day1 will have by Day30: 50k + (100kx30) = 3.05m LP
A person who joins on Day 15 will have by Day 30: 50k + (100kx50) = 1.55m LP
He will never catch up to the Day 1 person.
What I honestly want to see is for FEPs to help more, my play style interests have changed since W3 greatly and making food is where it's at for me personally, but FEPs matter so little that it still seems rather pointless.
