I miss how big the world used to be...

Having a large world which gave you the choice to live alone was one of the best things about haven and hearth in my opinion.

Both have their up and downsides I guess. I like my own hunting grounds and such too. Then again world 3 was so fucking boring because no matter how many more players started the game, there was always enough space. No battles for ressources, mines, good places to settle. So overall I prefer a small world, since it supports drama and player interaction.

I guess that is what the devs are going for too, although from time to time I now am angry at myself for supporting it when I come across yet another empty swamp or mountain. Maybe a few extra grids wouldn't hurt, but I sure would like to see how the world plays out when it is densely populated.

Its nice for a change, but I did like having the choice to be surrounded by people in the centeral grids or being totally alone in the outer grids.

Some sort of real Mordor, like it existed in world 1 would be nice to have again. No newbie ever wanted to go there.

Bitza, you are probably right. The more I think of it the more I like the thought of more SGs again. Make them really dangerous though, give them high decay rates etc. Maybe H&H has to have these kinds of untouched lands. For the right feeling as well as for new players to have any chance in competing at all.

Still interested to see how a densely populated world would evolve though :)

Although I think new players (such as ME) should have a chance to compete, which is not the case atm, I don't really like the idea of having more grids. I also really like the fact that this game is global, and that you can communicate, trade and fight with everyone, everywhere. Besides, it is still very possible to find a safe zone with few travel nowadays ; you just have to settle deep in lands.

I had suggested an idea to avoid the monopoly on ressources by the first-few-week groups but it had was not really welcomed, so I won't link it here :d.
