ok, well im extremely angry but i cant bring my self to rage quit because this game is so good.
the story: i was just waltzing around exploring the land, waiting for a pm with coordinates from my friend, i had just got a new militia sword and armor from a different friend, when near starving i see a tasty fox across the river, so i swim over to get it half expecting to drown. fortunatly i didnt, unfortunatly this made me a bit 'swim cocky' so i started swimming around the place for a bit. about 10 minutes later i come a cross a bear that aggro's me so i run to the river. the shallow only extends one tile from the ground so i would still get killed. naturally i swim for the other shore which was well insight and looked the same distance as the other rivers i've swam, but i drown and lose all my stuff, this brings a few Q's n C's>critique's if you didnt guess>

so 1st i would like to ask that you make swimming a little less dangerous, like making treading wateer not take stamina or at least reduce it, maybe put a little warning that says you cant swim the distance to the nearest shore.

2nd: earlier i was reading a post where potjeh mentioned he was swimming and drinking at the same time, i tried this and it would not work< has this been changed at all or was it always like this

3rd: is there a way to get a body and/or equiptmant back from a river?

4th(the 3rd gave me this idea) if we fish in the spot within say 30 or so tiles of the place a person drowns, could we have a chance of fishing his/her items up.
the quality would obviously drop say > Q of item minus Q of water> if the q of water is greater than the q of item then the item really would dissapear

lastly, i know that you wont but can you get me my sword back, i didnt feel right not asking :D

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

Swimming is alot less dangerous than it used to be.

You have to open the radial menu from the flask while you are already waling into the water, then you can use the opened menu while you are swimming (bug).

thanks for the speedy answer, that was obviously my problem with the drinking water, i just leftclicked on the opposite shore but must have already been in the water when i right clicked the waterskin.

and i realise that swimming is less dangerous as i drowned quite a bit in W3 soley for the purpose of testing how much con i would need to safely cross. <not being a grinder i thought it was a bit hard to get boat building after yeomanry back then as i lived alone :D
but the warning would be nice

I am in for this, would actually be fun to pull up various stuff from time to time...

I must say that I'd like that, as well. There'd actually be a reason to fish in spots that don't have any fish jumping up.

You probably shouldn't have any bait or lures on the hook, though.
