More Curiosities! (I has images. Hurr.)

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

What about curiosity items that can be studied and then retrieved back from the mental inventory?

But then you'd need to create two attribute flags or two items for this:
- When a item is created it comes with a "seal". Reading it removes the seal thus LP gain is removed.
- For example, you read a book, you learn from it, but the book won't disappear. Making the book disappear would seem strange... Did you utterly destroy it just to figure out what a book is (because your cavehearthling is dumb as a doorknob)?

I've had the same thoughts aswel. IMO its kinda strange that some things break when you study them. "Oh hey look a bronze figure! Let's look at it and then smash it with a giant hammer!"

You're dead-set on slipping a book into every remotely relevant thread, aren't you? Nothing wrong with that, I suppose...

While a book-type curio might interesting, I'm sure there are better uses for them besides being some kind of... Thing that doesn't disappear when used. Urk. It's a bit awkward. If it weren't destroyed, what's the point in keeping it around if nobody else could use it? Sure, it doesn't make sense, realistically, that anything and everything would just be destroyed because you were studying it... But from a gameplay perspective? They might as well just disappear if you can't use them. You know, like curios already do.

Including such classics as "The Russian Machinemen", "The Unstable Caves", "Farming is a Hard Business" and lots and lots of more great histories for you to enjoy.

That would be pretty hard to implement, I think, but I love the idea.
Somehow crafting books that chronicle important/interesting events in the game...I'm not sure how you would implement it, but it would be sort of neat to learn about the history of the game while getting lp's from it.
Suggested titles:
Blaze: The Life and Times
The Altpocalypse
The rise of Goonhiem
Raephire and Rift: Battle of the Gods
The Sack of Chernobyl
The Many Lives of JTG
Delamore: A primer in propaganda
and so on...
<Marcher Lord>
Dogs! Oh god, please give us DOGS!

A suspicious-looking sausage: randomly found while making sausages.
Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision.

Dead babies: randomly spawn in the wilderness sometimes when somebody tries to create an alt. No alts get created then, surely.

Smelly boot, goldfish - Found while fishing.
Five-Leaf clover - sometimes found instead of a Four-Leaf clover
Hypnotizing Frog - "You can not seem to take your eyes off it." - picking frogs
Mechanical device - "A complicated device with lots of gears" - chance to find while swimming.

Boot: already have a similar object. Requirements to find--someone has to have died recently in the area wearing Ranger boots.

clover: suggested already. Also suggest clover is just flat a curio. There's little to do with them since taming is pretty easy, if time consuming.

Frog: Why? (Must be called "Hypnotoad" though)

Clockwork didn't really show up until the 14-15th centuries. I realize that there were a few devices earlier than that, but they were just that, few, and very large.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I was thinking about a new curio called jar of dreams with 2.5k base lp and q would depend on q of glass and it would require 1 raw glass and 20 dreams. Also i was think about a wise elder robe that could boost learning ability
