Some kind of death notifier

I just thought it would be kind of nice if a person u have kinned dies, when u log on, it'll say if u click on their name instead of the portrait "This hearthling is deceased" or something to that effect. It should also automaticly add the descendant.

I know alot will argue to just stay in contact with friends on the forum, but it would be really convinient =). Just a thought.

i think that is a good idea, i would also like to point out the bug that shows a dead hearthling as being online until their body decay's.

and the easier way to implement. instead of having you add the descendant like you suggested, the better way would be to inherit a persons kin in the creation room as well

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

The first part is actually why i suggested it lol. My friends char has been online for a while, but when i whisper him it says hes not online. I assume he was force summoned (we do alot of bad stuff).

But i do like ur idea about inheriting kins.

lol, my friend and i were recently walking along, our settlement had been raided so we escaped out the cave door after the fight he had little health and no shoes... we were using area chat when he yelled damn i walkeed over to him and seen he was onthe ground in a pool of blood, thinking he was still alive i laughed, coz hey, its a thorn in his foot. soon i thought he was having a joke by not respnding so i went for a walk making conecows and foraging for about 15 min, when i come back he is a skeleton with his effects lying around....but the whole time untill he decayed it showed him as online.... 1 lost friend, 1 gained militia sword :?
