Sparring

I think the combat system should be changed. So, instead of people sparring for nothing, sparring increases your UA if you're using your fists, your MMS if you're using your bow/sling, and your MC if you're using a sword or axe. That way, people no longer have to wait for days to get their combat skills up.

we all like the idea but 24/7 sparring would be... boring.

you could put a limit on how much you can earn a day i guess?

This would lead to botting unless we put a limit on how much you could earn each day. Good idea overall.

In response to the time limit, i would say only 1/2 hr a day, and you only level up every 10-15 hits.
This way, nooby botters cant level up 100 levels a day. Also, as your level increases, it gets harder to level up.

sparring is intended to increase player skill, not increase character skill

I know, but this way seems to make more sense. You can't just randomly become a supersoldier overnight IRl. You have to actually work and train for it. So why should it be different in H&H?

Because nobody here wants an LP system that rewards you only for the skills you actually use. Also what sab said. Sparring is more than useful to increase your personal skill. The reward of doing it on a regular base is already incredibly big.

You should only be able to increase your swimming by swimming.
