Make "white" claim permissions affect strangers

Postby Tamalak » Thu Mar 31, 2011 1:28 am

I noticed today that even though memorized people are "white" by default, and I have trespassing checked for white, a stranger could not get on my lawn.

Shouldn't it be possible to set it so that anyone can walk on your property? What if I want to, say, make a landbridge that anyone can use but only I can modify?

Trespassing includes walking, but trespassing isn't *just* walking.

Anyone, without any skills and with criminal acts on can *walk* on your claim though.

That isn't the point of the post. I'm saying let me give strangers tresspassing/thieving/vandalism rights just like I can give memorized people those rights.

I was under the impression that the white box was intended for "everyone". I even remember it being mentioned in threads or a walkthrough or something about claiming where it tells you that the white designation is for everyone, although perhaps they were just talking about kin list people. Would make sense and be a nice addition if it doesn't already function this way.

A practical function would be claiming a mediocre node (30 water), but allowing everyone to access it freely, as sort of a free community source. Claiming it just to ensure that no one else claims it.

That's a good workaround.
I agree with the OP, there should be more options for personal and village claims.

I was going to post something familiar, I was hoping to run two village idols, one on the surface of my establishment, and one under neath, but I'd run into the problem of having to party someone from the village below me.. or leaving scents to interact with objects and such.

Back in world 3 my friends and I had a community mine which we, and a bunch of other people around us, used.
This worked really well up until some geniuses got the idea to claim it.

It would be nice if you could make a claim that everybody can use simply to prevent some jack ass from claiming it.
perhaps it would look different from a regular claim so the average passerby would know that he can use it.
