Oh god, no. Then we'd have to deal with keys and everything turns into utter bullshit.

Sounds like some bullshit to me, anyone can bust walls with 100 str and sledge? and no summoning offline? this would mean more raiding, but more raiding/vpv isn't better than more meaningful pvp...

It completely removes the risk/reward factor

Maybe if breaking the brick's by hand took longer then it did to build them...
You may have foiled the plans of BAD-EVIL this time, but there is no rest for the wicked.

yeh bricks can take longer, also if offline summoning is removed, scents should have their expiry timer paused while the character's offline

The problem with that is that you'd be breaking a single tile, how would you establish the 'work' taken to build a wall around a city (Size varying greatly) and compare it to breaking a single segment?

It could take you a week to build a huge village's brickwall, or just a few hours to build a small one around a minehole and house.

Edit: Offline summoning wouldn't be removed, it would destroy most of the sense of a persistent world where you can do things like kill, as you please. You're not supposed to be safe if you're an 'evildoer', the only way to be safe is to log on whilst having left no summonable scents, it's intended and there is really no reason for it to change.

Always whoring out your thread. Don't get me wrong its a good thread.

And on the topic, although it might be a hilarious way for the game to be as there would be almost no way to become established I think it would be worse.

It's a helpful reminder of a useful feature that probably won't ever get put into the game!
