Adjusting Object Bounding Boxes

Postby Jackard » Sun May 08, 2011 5:21 am

This thread suggests corrections for objects with awkward bounding boxes. Some are meant to be indoors, but cannot be easily placed within the boundaries of the grid.

Wardrobe: add smarter shift-placement for 1x2 objects or change to 1x1
Herb Table: change to 1x1
Crate: change to 1x1
Loom: add smarter shift-placement for 2x2 objects
Large Chest: change to 1x1
Tanning Tub: adjust to fit within tile
Bed: add smarter shift-placement for 1x2 objects

Small Milestones: remove box
Boats: Reduce size to match boat
Wagon: Reduce size to fit through gates

I hate all objects that are for example '2x2' but take up 3 slots because they take up half of either.

Mansions come to mind, they are 8x8 in reality.

Boats are really annoying. I guess a good mod would be to change the shadow graphic to match the bounding box.

Yep, boats are the most annoying object regarding this.
