Ranger Tower

To protect brickwalled villages with sniper.

- every tower requires X authority to can build, so if you have 7 towers, you need at least 7xX authority
- every tower drains village-authority
- boosts dmg from ranged weapons by X
- boosts agi by X
- lowers the chance to get hit by ranged weapons when you are in one

Problem is, that you could use that in vaults. But for villageprotect it would rock.

Yeah, having some more advantage when defending a village would be cool, but as you said it would make attacking vaults even more annoying.

I agree that a defensible position within a town would be awesome. Definitely a +1 to this item regardless of the balance issues that it would cause.
Now we just really need more reasonable ways to siege a town.

That definitely should happen first, or even better everything at once when a completely new system of sieging and defending is introduced.

I love the idea, but i thought of it something more like this:

You can't shoot through walls / palisades
You can shoot over the wall though if you are standing in a tower
However, if you are standing in the tower, people can shoot at you as well
It's harder to aim you though, since you can take cover in the tower

I don't think you should get a bonus to MM or agi though, just seems weird. I like the idea that the y drain authority though.

yeah, good idea OP. would make great new ways for combat. and makes vaults even more challenging, considering that there should be no true hearthvaults lefts.

Well, if course you can make it so that the wall can only extend from the middle tiles of the sides of the ranger towers, like so:

W = Wall

T = Tower

T T T
W W W T T W W W
T T T

Then they can't be built near an (accesible, at least) edge without you being able to place a ram here:

W = Wall

T = Tower

R = RAM

R R R T T T R R R
W W W T T W W W
T T T
