In forum trade, I can simply choose not to keep tabs of who's got how many points and just tell people to take something for the change if their goods are worth a bit more than what you're buying. In stands as proposed by you I don't have that choice, I simply have to have accounts for my customers. That's all fine and dandy until my stand gets robbed. Then I'm under pressure to refill it ASAP to avoid angering my customers, and odds are it'll get robbed again if I don't kill the thief right away. The other option, to not refill at all and let my customers take the fall is simply unthinkable for any honest merchant.
