I can't place this. To what are you revering to? (Water Q from well's follows the same degradation when used as with high q river spots.)

The problem is aas a newbie breaking wells is lolwtf hard, and testing them all around is just as insecure, leads raiders right to your ass.

Hehe, Can disagree here. But seems fitting to the game though. ;)

Good like it is. Hard to find and valuable. No reason to make something this valuable easier to find.

Agree.

The people disagreeing are confusing interface-based difficulty for actual difficulty, which is the sort of argument that you might use if you didn't like the "craft all" button.

Clay is much more valuable yet it's easier to find and grief too. I suggested long ago graphical representation of q ndoes. Fatter fish jumping if it's a nice fish spot, different color water if it's good shit, some special flavor weeds on good soil etc. Seriously the current dig everywhere build everywhere fill flask everywhere system is retarded unfun brings nothing to the gameplay table other than retarded grind and gasp unrealistic.

I have to agree with this actually.

It's not a case of things being "Harder to find" the high value resources aren't exactly guarded by Trolls and bears, or Trolls riding bears, it's just a case of checking everywhere.

And if we're going to make people "Check everywhere" we may as well make it a bit more entertaining or simpler.

Or we don't waste the devs time on interim solutions, but do what avu says alongside with a new and regionalized mapgen.

Water is the least appealing and least valuable of all of the nodes. If you see clay 5q higher, you'll go for it, 5q means a lot. Clay effects everything and is the most important. Soil effects all your crops, your trees, which in turn effect most things (and it effects trees it seems more than water does :P). Water, you can purchase a barrel of water and plant down 100 fucking trees, water lasts forever for it's one actual 'useful' purpose (Trees), for everything else whether it be running around or making better dough, it has very little actual use. Is it great to have it higher Q? Sure, sure. But it's not something you actually go looking for. No one goes "Oh man I wish I had q80 water so I could make my dough 5q better!", no you just make more fucking dough.

The only thing that could arguably be behind water in node worth is stone
Even fish nodes punch water in the dick due to hq pearls.

[Avu's solution, which was proposed a few times now as I recall, is actually even better, you never know HOW good, just that something good is there, which is good enough]

Correct, they do not degrade AT ALL when using the well spot.

You can gather 1million barrels of water from a q90 water well spot and it will still be q90.
