Shaving bald as a punishment is something completely separate from all of this, and I've already pointed out how goddamned irritating appearance decay would be last time that was brought up. Way to go turning something nice into a total chore.

I'd rather that then be forced to have nature/industry or any other slider simply to look how I want to. Having their own sliders is kinda pointless why even bother making them sliders then

Or J&L could actually add an option to turn off appearance because if you don't want a beard but are full nature it would suck for you.

Sliders are gay, just make it an option if that's the case.

i remember they said female could only get either the existing one or the baldhead with that hair-do.
if female can get different looks too, not just bald, i wouldnt mind this.

Notice no one else besides Tony here has bothered to discuss how these sliders would affect the ladies? Some of us use female hearthlings, you know? Trust us, listening to you, I'd end up the bearded lady. Maybe we could discuss something for the ladies... Life/Death could shift color from black for death, to brown, to the current red for neutral, to strawberry blonde, to blonde for life. Nature/Industry could affect length. Neutral would be the default current length, Full Nature would be real long hair going down to the legs, and full Industry would very short hair. Barb/Civ would affect how messy the hair is, with full barb giving wild, spiky, unkempt hair, and full civ giving smooth, combed hair. Day/Night would affect tan.

On that note, why let our sliders controls our aesthetics? Sure, it's simpler, but I'd rather have the power of choice. Oh well.

I'd rather just choose my hairstyle without having to change my stats, thanks.

+1
