About a year ago, some of you may remember I suggested the idea of rabbit hutches for the game, because I said I wants better q bunny slippers, because bunny slippers are the greatest footwear ever. Well, I still want my hutches.
Rabbit hutches could work just like chicken coops; catch wabbits and throw them in, use a fodder meter to feed them and up the q, and watch 'em breed like, well, rabbits. Of course, you'd need to add a differentiation of genders to rabbits for this to work, and this is how it'd work. Like silkmoths and untamed critters, you won't know what you got till you nab it, but once in your inventory, a white rabbit would be female, and a brown one male, and there would be a much higher chance of getting a female than a male.
Of course, q would have to go up slower than chickens, since fur (and as a result, leather) is involved, and could impact boar and bear hunting incentive. I mean, who would want to hunt a bear for leather when they have q9001 rabbits?
This could also lead to a new curio, the Vorpal Rabbit. It has a .0125% of being born in a hutch, but gives 25,000 LP over 18 hours with 5 weight, IF you take it out as a little bunny. However, if it grows up to be an adult, it will break out of the hutch, flip out, and go apeshit on you, the buildings, and everyone, and would be as badass as a Level 1 Troll. However, this curio idea is wholly separate from my hutch idea, and should be considered as such.
Anyhoo, a hutch would make rabit meat more useful, and let us make better q slippers for a change. I want to raise bunnies, dammit!!
