Knocked Unconcious into a River

Today, when exploring the wilderness with a friend, we were attacked by a bear. As he could deal with it, I ran, but the bear chased me into the bank of a river and KO'd me. When I was KO'd I ended up in deep water with no way of getting out of it; I'd rather run right to the bear than drown. So, unfortunately, I drown in the deep water. A fix would be nice for the future; as for me, I'm going to lay off on the swimming skill for a while.
