Just go proper permadeath already and then there will be none of these "this way and that" threads necessary... and those that then rage quit when they die can go play another game, really, we all know this is already not everyone's cup of tea... do you really think it matters if we lose a couple more to Farmville?

Hmm, yea I suppose the 25% was my fault for interpreting what I first read on the wiki and guides as 'the rule' when realistically the game says nothing at all, no text on the sliders, just information we took from it.

Well with that said I'm still for permadeath, or at least 0 inheritance of skills/stats. Prayers should stlil be awesome and einherjaraspekt should be put back at 100/50/25 :lol:

you should totally get your kin list of your ancestor, be able to properly use his name, but that's about it. Other than that you're mostly your own man really, why be forced into farming or industry, or being a warrior the next time around.

With that said though the inheritance system right now excels in one good way that permadeath would probably make even legitimate fans ragequit, and that's unintended deaths, there's a ton of them right now. Whether it's by CRAZY LAG when crossing a river, crashes when fighting animals, waljumping, server crashes with HF not down. There are a fucking TON of ways to die that aren't really 'legitimate' ways to die, stuff that's unforeseen, outside of what you should have to account for, and it would suck mad balls to lose it all to 'lag', I don't go swimming IRL, go under for a breath and then time stops and I'm in down there for 40 minutes before I can come up so I drown.

If skills were capped by equipment death wouldn't be so ragequit-worthy, since you wouldn't fall hopelessly behind ;)

I don't think that is much of a problem anymore looking at the recent character development metagame.

Could you explain further? Is it just one aspect of it such as alt specializing or mass alting? Or is there something more to it than that?
