Luring animals

Postby BrodytheMad » Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:28 am

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before...but wouldn't it be cool if you left raw meat out and it lured an animal towards it? This could be an easy way to hunt and kill animals. Saves time. Only bears and foxes of course. Maybe if you left seeds, chickens? Carrots or other veggies - rabbits? Just a thought

Various sorts of traps for wildlife have been brought up before. No idea if it's on the list for the future or not.

I can well imagine that within a year, every thread will be replied to as "This has been brought up before," and then the thread dies. :(

Ever heard the phrase "There's nothing new under the sun"?

On topic: I guess I should have stated that I'm not sure I've seen lures, such as having food left out to attract animals, before. It would fall under the category of "Ways to actively spawn more animals." That I believe I've seen before.

Maybe it would only attract animals that were in the area to begin with, not spawn new ones.

Maybe instead of food it's more like a scent? Like you can build a pile of sticks and cover it with the scent of 'Rabbit in Heat,' and a bunch of rabbits would come flying in.
It must be a communist plot!
