Village improvements

Two problems emerge as the world runs long enough for players to be come overly strong. Griefing becomes simply to easy. No town is truely safe unless they have Extreamly strong PvPers. This will drive the to its death as players work countless hours to build up thier town only to have the greedy selfish PvPers come along and destroy the town and loot whats worth takeing. After a few times of this the players that work hard at building towns will move on to a new game where they have a chance to keep things they make. This will become a bigger problem the longer the server runs as the new players will simply be pray for those that have had more time to become overly strong.
There needs to be a way that towns can deffend them selfs against these tactics with out haceing to be uber PVPers. Something like guard towers with ballistas that deffend the town walls from attack. Make the town have to pay a price per day or week in LP's for each tower they build. This way a town can guard against the bashers and snachers.
One other problem as the world runs longer and longer the land gets claimed and even though players have quit playing the claims remain. There needs to be more decay on inactive claims to keep the map open for active players to build and play on.

In before "Use the search function" and "OMG wall of text"

Good idea, but it's been suggested before. The entire siege system desperately needs an update.

No offense meant but for some odd reason I feel like you haven't been playing for very long, much less seen the late game and a well developed village?
Most of your concerns are rather silly but your ideas are fine. Rather than LP, why not just use Authority since that's sort of the purpose of Authority in the first place. Also, how would guard towers and ballista and the like work? If you give them set damage, they can be over powered just as easily as players and once a thresh-hold is broken they become moot. It you make them do percentage damage then newbie alts will be used as shields while other tasks are done by mains.
Maybe these should be "manned' by off-line players and are based off of their stats and skills or something like that? Lets be creative.

As far as bashers go -- this is the problem with the late game at the moment. You can't bash brick walls so well established villages just take so much time and effort to break through that it's not worth it. They don't even need to have high combat skills, they just need to not be stupid and they can't stop legal assault attempts. Bug use is a whole other story though and no one is safe from that.
