That's actually kinda sweet.

I can imagine everglowing ember giving you the ability to make a stronger version of forge ring or something.

With rare curios enabling rare crafts on a 1:1 basis or whatever (rather or in addition to granting LP). Creating a quasi artificial rarity for certain high end goods.

A 1/1000 chance when finding a bluebell...I can't even find bluebells :D. I like these though =). Maybe there should be some that can be found in thickets too though..cause as it stands, thickets are just a giant laggy inconvenience.

burgingham wrote:Event curios usually already are rare versions of themselves. Everglowing ember, weird beetroot, golden egg, perfect hole. Jorb or Loftar said when we talked about it maybe some of them should be less rare since they might as well be not in the game with their current drop rates.

True.
burgingham wrote:I guess another option would be if you could unlock other recipes with them. Like everglowing ember to craft a special kind of ring. Perfect hole and creamy cock to...uhh you know where I am getting.

LOL.

If we did need rare versions of curios, it should be of something that's crappy, like Cat Gold or Rattle-Tattle-Talismans, and then the super rare versions should be "OMGWTFBBQ" upgrades. Would be awesome to see a super rare RTT that gave 30K LP for 4 weight.

(I just want to see Rattle-Tattle-Talismans be, er, made, and not as a joke)

Maybe that's the reason there aren't any in thickets? But then, the vegetation is so thick, average players probably couldn't see them there, anyway. There are those with modified clients, though, that could find them. (Heck, forest foraging is hard enough in the standard client with so much stuff hiding behind trees.) However, the game isn't designed around client mods, but what the standard can and can't do.

Well.. with what burgingham suggested, I wouldn't mind the drop rate staying the way it is, so we only see so few of these items. There presence on the hearthlands will be scribed as it's passed through the hands of friends, murderers, raiders, thieves, and betrayers of the sort, much like capes are.

Perhaps curios made from rare curios?

Bluell wreath? 10 bluebells together to make 1
Chandelier? 10 prisms and a copper bar?

Combine all the flowers and an earthware vase.. Floral arrangement?

These would make for some nice challenging curios.....IMHO

Useful stuff, like ever glowing ember on a torch stand...light that never goes out?

Sorry, I just have fun contemplating the possibilities ;)

Actually, if they ever do anything with houses and decorations adding anything (similar to beds providing rest from travel weariness), some of these ideas would make great house decorations.

Oh jeez, even seeing those IRL bluebells made me curio-happy. H&H HAS CONSUMED ME.
