Geoffro's Critique and Idea :D

Postby Geoffro » Fri Aug 26, 2011 11:48 pm

To Start off. I would like to say...

THIS. GAME. IS. AMAZING

This is the sort of game I've been looking for a very long time. I've played Minecraft, yeah It's a survival you do start from scratch But it is very easy to get a hand of that game and easy to be at the top.

This game, I would say, Is quite difficult and things can go to shit pretty easy. That's what i like. This truly feels like a survival game. It's just so amazing.

An idea that i got was More buildings or the ability to Dye building(A castle would be very very awesome :D :D). but I mostly just wanted to say how awesome this game is and I hope the future bring more awesome things. :D

Yes it is :D

And yes also, a BIG building like dungeon / castle would be great.
And / Or towers you could place next to a wall with 3*3 space and 2-3 stairs!
And, of course, Dragons!!

No. This isn't a game for mythical creatures and dungeons*, etc. I like how this game is based around real survival and I can relate to it IRL.

No. This isn't a game for mythical creatures and druids, etc. I like how this game is based around real survival and I can relate to it IRL.

Actually, druidry was strong in the area of the world this game is based off of. And it was one of the founding beliefs of that time as they got around mostly everywhere. Druidry was merely outdone by the profession that put more "food on the table", knights. So with this time period seeming abit before chivalry I do believe druidry would be in it's prime.

It was a typo, I meant dragons and dungeons. Sorry. :p

Even so, the game isn't about this time period and the suggestions given previously actually do fit the time period this game is actually based off of.

You are right.

You might want to familiarize yourself with the games situation though if you haven't done that already. This is a project the 2 devs do in their freetime and though they love it very much, for the next months they will be busy with their commercial project called Salem. So you will probably not see any major updates like new buildings or castles. The general idea you have has been brought up alot of times of course in different variations. What the devs do and don't like only they know, but hardly ever will you see a players idea being implemented 1:1. So just let the game surprise you once they pick up development again ;)

Eh your better off asking indie groups to make their own variants to this kind of game, each to cater specific kinds of people.

Project Zomboids for zombie apocalypse without the stupid katana and zombie slaughtering boredom, and realistic survival issues like food, health, and sanity.

A game based on medieval survival would be nice since it would based off of H&H's concept except pulling a complete 360 with how pvp is dealt with...

Maybe more emphasis on social than pure survival since random mass murdering and raiding going around the map makes little sense at times...

Factions with kings and such makes more sense in a medieval era and factions within a kingdom has it's own issues and such... Like crimes and the likes.
