That was removed before/at the start of w4, wasn't it? Since people were using it to get obscene crop levels and slings and the like.

This MIGHT be a simple question, though I haven't faound an answer anywhere.

Here is the deal:
I have a charming char. Played it for week or so. Built a hearthfire on friend's claim. Decided to hunt the bear. Bad idea. So I had a charming char. Happens. I visit creation site, get a girl char, without previous char's inheritance. I omitted that step by a mistake. Luckily I end up in the same claim, I have the claim's owner as a friend, he lets me in. No problem. Somehow I read the inheritance part, so I create the third char, whoose ancestor is the first char.

Here is the trick:
I start in the previous hearthfire, in the middle of a claim. I don't have it's owner on my friend-list. Sadly he is not around. Problem is - I CANT MOVE. I'm stuck to the hearthfire and claim I cannot walk through. Needless to say - I want out!

So, does this qualify as simple?

On the bright side, recently I read two books instead of gaming.

to follow up further, the better beds--straw bed and feather bed--speed rest even more than a bough bed.

Yeah, it's simple. Give your new character a hearth secret, email it to your friend, and log out. Next day, you should be able to do your thing (assuming your friend stays up on email and such).

Congrats! I'm stuck in the middle of The Confusion by Neil Stephenson because I can't quit playing the games. :P

Here is the thing about internet-game-friends. I don't have his email.
If only there would be a way to contact him, I would do so right away.
Is there any other way to at least get out of his claim?

(Books - I went for Vonnegut and fiction classic - Ray Bradbury)
...and damn I'm happy I spend some time with the tangible pages.

Just turn on Criminal Acts (under the Adventure menu). As long as you don't have to get out of a fence, you're fine. If there is a fence, you're still stuck. Note that you'll leave trespassing scents, however this are usually ignored because all you can do is track someone that left them (and they only last about a day).

Curse you. It works. I mean - thank you.
Supposedly you saved me from another book.

so would a higher quality straw bed be better than a low quality sturdy bed? example using q30+ straw versus >q10 feathers?

this is mostly just out of curiosity as I only have a hf to warp to, and smoke a pipe to kill travel weariness, but I'd like to be prepared for when I need other warps

That would depend on which restores more base travel weariness. I don't actually know how much any bed restores per hour but theoretically a q40 straw bed could be better than a q10 sturdy bed if straw gives half as much or more than sturdy bed does base.
