Interestingly, this bug is now totally impossible to detect. That means that any high-Q stuff you have MIGHT be uberquality stuff that'll eventually get reset- but it might just be high-quality. We won't really know until every item in the economy is Q600+. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hmm yes, good point. Maybe loftar could rig it so that any item over normal quality levels (a couple of hundreds or so) crashes the server so that bug quality can't propagate before he can attend to it. It should be possible to select from all items where quality > 500, and shut down if the count of results is non-zero, right?

Why not just cap Q at 200? Or simply add it to the save routine to downgrade over-the top-stuff into top-stuff?

Yes, I've thought of the same thing, actually.

For the record, this particular issue can be easily detected by checking if the "bugged" quality is close to 16777216 (2^24, the bit I'm using as a flag to indicate quality "overflow"), since bugged quality will probably be much more random than that.
