pipe should be add i thinks this because if a village is lets say 50 tiles away from a q 50 water some one needs to walk 50 tiles there and may need to walk 50 tiles back. with pipes you could build it and get water with out walking 50 tiles there and back. i think it should be as fast as a well for a bucket of water and be built like a fence i mean more stuff to start and bends than strait.

they are called wells. and if you build a well and it isn't connected to your decent water source then learn to fill several barrels at a time
