The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

Timed out

Postby NaoWhut » Tue Oct 06, 2009 3:45 am

I have been trying to run the game
for the last 2 hours and recently noticed
a "36 hearthlings" online. Every time i
open the game it times out and when i
refresh the forums it also times out.
I recently received a new fire wall, would
this effect my ability to connect to the
game? or am i just being impatient with
my lack of H&H time? Will this go away
within a few hours or must i adjust
something probably obvious and simple
to all of you?

Man i hate being stranded in the forums
with no game

You may need to open a port in your firewall for the game; I did. The information on which port is in a thread somewhere, probably bugs. It may also be in the PAQ, probably is.

I have no idea what files and firewalls would have in common, but that may be some weird Windows issue, I guess -- maybe someone actually using Windows would have an idea? Anyone?

As for ports, on the other hand, Haven uses UDP port 1870 and TCP port 1871.
