Make the world round

My idea is that you know the world is square. Perhaps connect them end to end to make the world round like a ball. It would eliminate the unpassable zones.

I'll admit, this isn't a bad idea, but how it can be programs I haven't the slightest clue.

but nevertheless +1

Would be another way to lessen the blow of removing fast travel

I imagine that this is even less likely than bridges which Jorbtar have stated are functionally impossible with this engine.

If the world isn't flat, it cannot be expanded without problems.

Also, connecting two ends would make the world a tube. Connecting two pairs of ends would make the world a doughnut.

For the world to be truly spherical, you have to go from the top of one part of the world and energy at another part of the north part of the world exactly halfway across the world and the same applies at the south. The east and west can be connected as normal. What you are proposing is a wrap-around feature of the world, or Onionfighter's doughnut.

I like the idea of being able to go around, but this isn't the full world, just a part of it so I think thats the reason you have ends...to keep people from visitting other cultures :ugeek:

k, enjoy fitting a square map full of square tiles to a sphere

Furthermore the game map isn't even supposed to be a planet, afaik it's supposed to represent germany/scandinavia, ie a flat* piece of land.

*Slightly curved and bumpy if we're being pedantic
