Stopping a burning kiln/etc.

Postby Kionys » Sat Nov 26, 2011 2:15 am

As most people know, it's very annoying to have to wait for your kiln/cauldron/etc to stop burning(even with the cauldron lift glitch, you still lose branches/etc). I was thinking that if we had a certain amount of water, I.E. 20L of water, we could put out a certain item. Perhaps 20L of water to put out a burning cauldron, 100L of water to put out a burning kiln, etc etc.

Instead of commenting about it, why don't you flag it or somethin if you got a problem?

0/10

Why would you want to put out a kiln? If someone was using high quality wood to burn, I'd imagine you'd want to have it burn w/o any interruption. Burning fires also kinda look nice at night..

It's simple, don't fill a kiln/oven with wood. Research, check the wiki, do a lil Math. (Oh the gods! Math in a videogame?! Welcome to HnH)

Too much work, not much point.

I kinda worded that wrong. I meant something more along the lines of losing charcoal or some stuff, which can be a bitch to get when your in a rush. Instead of losing it you could put it out and save it for later.

 I agree. Then you could max the fire meter and not have gather wood for quite some time.

If you're looking to save materials, use the oven/kiln bug and wait for the proper time and then use a single piece of fuel. Nothing is simpler than that. Besides, if you're thinking of the trick to stop a cauldron from boiling, you lose the fuel when doing that.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
