Why can't you drop what is so obviously a dead issue? There isn't nor will there ever be private servers available for HnH unless a 3rd party tries to put one together. Even then, as can be seen with other games with emulation servers, they don't always do so well.

Well there was some debate to get info about server-client communication with reverse engineering. I hope someone will do some work in this way. I'm actually working on client and trying to figure some bits out. But this communication is very pretty hard to get over it.

If Jorb made the server only require verified clients and create a brand new client for the game and made it mandatory that everyone uses it, then it renders all the other botting clients useless, and forces the bot users to fall back to basic mouse and hook botting?

Main problem with original client was: limit to small window instead being full screen.
We could maybe live without night vision and x-ray. I find cave mapping very useful as well. That is why I use custom client and not original one.

I've toyed around often with the idea of an HnH private server-- it seems like an awesome thought, and I wish it could happen, but it won't and cannot, no matter what. You could always make your own, better Haven and Hearth, with blackjack and hookers, if you wanted.
