It might be a bit too life-like, though, and take the game from the already difficult and complex straight to unenjoyable.

Of course, if, in the opinion of our esteemed devs, players aren't dying often enough (and in my opinion, we aren't), this would be a good way to solve that. Live in a village? At higher risk for getting the plague!!
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

You are the worst kind of poster, throwing around out-of context words without any backing as to why it's not a good idea. Do you really still think that saying things like "epic fail" is still edgy?

Agreed, this is Critique & Ideas. Your post brought nothing to the table, just a blunt stab at the OP for suggesting an IDEA, you don't have to agree with the idea, nor like the idea but it would be nice to contribute instead of a one word reponse of "Fail." and being condecending. Your posts are usually much better and well writen, I expected better =)

That said my post has nothing to do with OP idea and personally, I don't like the idea introducing injuries, however it could make things interesting if you were fighting someone stronger than you (stat wise) and managed to break their leg for example so they couldn't continue to persue and thus allowing you to escape. :D
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

For anything such as injury status effect to to be remotely possible, the damage system does need to be reworked so that you don't end up getting killed with the first stab that goes through your armor and what I worry about is that with the current system is that any possible damage can be considered lethal. Someone that is hit is already at a disadvantage with a -1 advantage and 0 defense and it is hard to come back from that position unless you can kite the enemy well enough. With injuries added, you can no longer do that at all and death is guarantee on the first blow.

Fail. What a noob.

You're right, my bad mate.

Hot topic is that way -->

I think articles of clothing with "EPIC FAIL" branded all over them would fit your style

MagicMan is part of the better half of the forums. Him saying fail this one occasion does not merit him being placed in this category of "douche-bagginess". I don't want to be offensive or say you are in the wrong for getting this assumption, but learn the forum users before making claims about them.

Some nasty diseases looks like a good idea to me too. Perhaps then first aid would actually mean something. Medicine, medicine. Travelling doctors. Oh, wait, nobody wants to kill a doctor. Then, we may get doctor overflow.
