Palisades

It is such a pain in the ass to put up a palisade so when you are making a gate you make a cornerpost 3 blocks away from another cornerpost instead of 2 and now you have to wait while a ram dries to destroy the cornerpost and make another one closer. I think that whoever was building the palisade any piece even if your friend did all of it and you only made one piece you should be able to destroy your palisade with like one hit. Everybody else who didint make any of the palisade has to have normal damage to it. That would make it so much easier wow.

It would be great if this simple little thing were possible!

Agreed. It's such a pain in the ass and not conducive to fun to have so much trouble correcting even minor mistakes when creating a camp.

I seem to recall someone suggesting somthing similar to this in the last couple of months. (Removing soak on buildings for the building owner seems it was.)

To help, after starting your wall, put a marker down here the other gate cp is going to go. That way, you build up to that construction sign, but not past it. Do the same thing at the corners so that you remember to build a cp there instead of building another wall section. (I've pulled that one myself.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Rather than having a different soak or HP depending on the person destroying it, what if the soak/HP of a wall segment or cornerpost depended on whether or not the cornerposts were sealed?

  • An initial cornerpost that has not yet "set" has the full soak/HP. (Unset brick initial cornerposts cannot be destroyed by hand.)
  • An unsealed cornerpost (initial or otherwise) that has had time to "set" has very low soak and HP. This includes brickwalls, which can be destroyed by hand.
  • Any cornerpost that is sealed has its HP/soak increased to their usual values. Brick cornerposts become immune to brickbashing.
  • A wall segment has very low soak/HP, unless it is between two sealed cornerposts. (Brickwall segments between two sealed cornerposts become immune to brickbashing.)

Yeah just something that makes it so I don't have to do all these rediculous things to go back and fix a mistake.

I wish it was simply a case of stretching a wall construction out and then putting in 1000 wooden blocks or 10000 bricks rather than the current system but alas.

Support, though I've never made mistakes building a pali, I think this will keep many players from being frustrated which isn't the purpose of a game (I know this is HnH, but still).
Hope you have a great day
