Sealing Cornerposts

Wouldn't it be better if cornerpost were only sealable by the owner? It is kind of annoying if you build a new palisade cornerpost as a noob, worked hard on it. Then if for some reason you can't build it immediately after it sets because you're asleep or have to work/school and a griefer with vandalism comes by and just seals it.

Well, who owns it? You? Nobody? If it's on a claim, as you say, they have to have vandalism and it should leave a scent which can be used to track the offender down and summon them. Also, you're not the first person to suggest this.

If things were working the way it's intended, this would be of very little concern to new players as many wouldn't want to risk getting killed over something so trivial. Unfortunately, things aren't working as intended right now. It's too easy to make throw away vandalism alts and protect primary characters behind secure walls that are nearly unassailable.

You should plan these things, even under the best of conditions, for when you can attend to the game on a regular schedule. This game is full of activities that have to be well timed. If you're attempting to hermit, you're going to find a lot of things you just can't do on your own if you can't attend to the schedules. I would suggest finding a village that is willing to accept the amount of help you can provide to avoid these issues altogether (though that brings with it a whole other set of problems). Be honest and up front and wary of scams and you'll find someone.
