Beats only needing to log in to the alt once a month

No amount of "upkeep" will keep the people who want to claim 35 different areas from keeping them. You should already know this.

Well, not everyone is an oldfag, man.
"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
"And no im not native to english, I was born in the usa." - A very bad troll.

Because writing a bot to do this for you once a day is completely impossible.... 'tards.... can't kill 'em, can't stop 'em from shitting up the internet.

I'll keep my opinions reserved on how effective upkeep is going to be until it is actually invented. If nothing else, it could put an economic drain on a player/village and decrease it some, but it will never end it.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

After playing over more than a year on nearly everyday basis i had to solve some RL issues so i was offline for more then 30 days - coming back village was gone (raided), claims looted but still there...so i suggest an upkeep rate should be a bit more then 30 days.... And i know other players that had to take a break for some time (i.e. preparing exams) and where happy to stll have their claims. But the amount of completly inactive claims is really something to be solved...

Ya, JLo originally wanted to be able to not play the game for a substantial period of time and still be able to come back to it so hopefully this will influence their decision in how long upkeep will take to cause your claim to disappear. I'd personally prefer if your claim size retracted the longer you went in the red, rather than just disappearing entirely.

I agree with this, although I think it'd be more logical to make it so that after X amount of days the claim could be destroyed by players with vandalism, as to prevent claim stakes from just disappearing.
EDIT: Every cave I've seen is claimed and I can do nothing about it, and I believe the owners are inactive, this would solve that problem.

I do agree the abandoned claims are annoying I dont think unstaking them is exactly right either. How about after a certain period of inactivity decay hits start up again since no one is their to maintain the land. The Stake being the last thing to decay.
