The people of these forums are hard when people that have played the game not even a week are trying to make the world better.

its hard to make informed suggestions if you haven't played the game not even a world and therefore probably don't understand the mechanics.

When some newb comes in and just makes a bunch of shitty C&I threads trying to make the game EASIER not better it pisses everyone off. :D

Actually, not all of my posts were about making the game easier. I did talk about adding warmth into the game, which is a huge thing when it comes to survival and it adds difficulty. I understand the mechanics of the game. Show me where I made it seem like I don't know a single thing about the game. Though, I can see what you're trying to do. This is an "underground" game that is very community driven. Therefore, seeing an unfamiliar face will cause hostility. You feel as if, "who does this new guy think he is?", because you know little to nothing about me and never saw me on the forums.

I could say that I played for years, you have no reason to think otherwise. Anyway, I don't need to play a game for ages to know what I'm talking about. Hell, if most reviews required that, we wouldn't know much about games. First impressions are also huge and are a big part of when it comes to a review. I feel like I know enough to start mentioning some things I'd like to see improved. I also know something about survival, I read a lot of guides and watched a lot of shows about it. I've even played plenty of crafting and survival games.

Even if someone was a newb, someone who played for a few seconds just to say, "Yo, this game is so user unfriendly and it lags". That feedback should be appreciated. It's not your game nor should anyone be offended by it. If something needs to be changed to bring in a large and better community, then why not? You're not making it be any better by initiating a flamewar. I'm not attacking you, your friends, or the game maker. I'm just trying to make my voice be heard.

Here's an idea: if someone is being a douche, ignore them, don't comment back.

Here's the big problem with this issue: alts. Alts are too much of an issue already and this idea just makes the situation worse. Did you think about the idea much and how it works with the current game mechanics? This idea might be useful if gaining LP were an active system (such as what was around in w3 and prior) or a diku-based MMO such as anything EQ, WoW, etc.

If people say your idea sucks, even without explanation, it does. Use you're skull for something other than a hatrest and figure out why they say it sucks. It might make you come up with better suggestions next time (or decide not to post the crappy idea in the first place). Is it a politic way of getting the message across, no? But that doesn't make them wrong.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

People do not bash your idea's. The warmth thing a great idea. People bash the fact that you are new and try to suggest things.

They bash the idea if you want to put it bluntly.

The reason is since that the community hasn't seen him around for very long, which tends to mean he is a newer player and as such doesn't fully grasp all the core game philosophies and mechanics. This tied in with the fact that most 1-3 sentence suggestions are terrible as they give little to no detail on what is actually intended with the change. This is especially true when you're talking about adding a whole new concept like warmth or rested LP.

New players aren't bashed for being new, it's for their disconnect from this understanding of how the game works.

The idea of sleeping for an LP buff when waking up is a nice idea, imo. (Didn't read the OP)
Could makeup for the extra LA lost when being full material while still wearing pearl equips.
As full martial with RoB and necklace you'd be a few % off from being back at 360%

You made a thread where you whined for 3-4 pages about how there is nothing to do in the game and compared it to social games with mechanics that throttle gameplay.

I'm not whining, I'm just responding and letting people know my perspective on the argument. If they didn't want to know my perspective (since I know someone is gonna reply saying they don't), they shouldn't have replied. It's common sense not to speak to someone that you don't wanna talk to. Another thing, this game is very similar to a social game. Farmville is an example, you plant crops and trees and wait for actual days. Then we have herbalist table, oven, drying frame, which wastes long periods of time for nothing. Like a facebook app, I get all my chorus done and logout because decorating and hoarding does not make me progress. Eating does, but that's possibly the only thing to do, which isn't that entertaining what-so-ever. I'm not playing a game just to eat.

I can say much more but it should be obvious how similar it is to a social game and I hope things change. This rested learning point system might actually allow me to progress a bit more before I logout after doing my chorus.

Dude. Nobody is this dumb. I give you props for successfully trolling everyone who has bothered to read your threads but trolling is an art and at this point you're giving away your position.
