I really dislike the idea of drugs, they always tend to add immaturity into a game. Only tobacco and alcoholic beverages seem respectable. I mean, hemp is already a huge problem in many games. People think just because it looks like marijuana, that it actually is marijuana. Too bad that you can't get high from it. I'm actually surprised that this game has gotten to as far as smoking it. Who the hell smokes hemp?

I highly recommend you reconsider. Read about the plant, do some research. I've done plenty and I've even spoke to someone who's owned a hemp farm. He had to put up a sign saying, "Not marijuana, does not make you high" because people are misinformed. If you want to get technical, you can do so on this thread I will make which will inform you with the truth about hemp. But back to opium...

commercially grown hemp is related to marijuana, just that it isn't bred to have as much thc in it, hence why it doesn't get people high.

They're respectable because they're legal. Once people get illegal drugs in games, they can't control themselves. They brag about how they smoke it, grow it, and so on. Besides, people who are against drugs will also look down on the game. Some people just can't handle it. Take for example, World of Warcraft is a Teen rated game and no one cares that there are alcoholic beverages in it. However, all hell breaks loose when drugs are added in the GTA series even though it's rated Mature.

There is many differences between hemp and marijuana than just the THC levels. Yes, they are from the same plant family, but that doesn't make them the same thing.

You say we have many different plants which can be used for medical reasons. Could you name one that has anywhere close to the same effects? And even if you could, wouldn't that plant also be a drug?

Opiates (Chemicals derived from or made from opium chemicals; particularly morphine) are used in every medical strenth pain-killer we have. Before the introduction of opium into the U.S., the only anesthetic people received was alcohol.

I know what you're saying. I know what drugs are and you are right. The thing is, people just get a little too into drugs when they're in a game. All I said is that I dislike them being in a game. I don't care if they get added or not. I can handle it, but I know other people cant.
