The great Man of Magic and Mystery makes a prediction that when the game gets the big redesign that this suggestion won't even be needed!!

I wouldn't mind seeing this being implemented. I prefer my sling, can't really stand a bow and arrows. Takes away my inventory space, rocks I can just drop. But I would love to see a stone sack!

No matter how many times this gets mentioned, people keep bringing it up and I keep wanting it just for the ability to make roads without having to chip rocks every minute.

Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...

Quiver.

Also, stone sack could be put in a ring slot/wherever poor man's belt goes when you equip it, as if the sack was tied to your waist..

Or maybe implement belts and usage of them so you can equip different things to belts, but that's another topic..

Reason why it won't get implemented is because it will be used for paving instead of ammo.

And the problem is?

exploitation of the "stone sack" perhaps? it wont be used for ammo that's for sure so this suggestion willnever make it ;)

you cud make the stone sack be able to place stone inside it (like how you put arrows in the quiver but take the arrows out) if you have the "stone sack do this, you wont have to worry about ppl using the stone sack to pave roads. If you do this, the devs wont have to worry about ppl using it in a way its nt intended for and for the players who use the sling alot will be happy to be carry more stone and still have inventory space.

I also feel this idea not needed due to (IN FAR FAR FAR FUTURE) upcoming promised overhaul.

Just a thought, but would it make sense to add a new item that slings fire instead of stones? Perhaps allow crafting of a specific type of bullet for slings, that can be crafted from stone (maybe give 2-5 per stone), so that there's no worries about it being exploited for anything but the intended purpose? I don't know how that would look in code, or how difficult it would be to dig out current stone usage from the game to replace it with a new craftable item, but it seems possible. Take into consideration that the size of these "stones" are enough to pave about a 9 square foot space on the ground, and you're hefting these things from a sling. Seems a little overkill.

why the hell is that a problem? XD you're calling that exploitation? OH NO! People perform monotonous and slow tasks at a slightly faster rate and in a more convenient method, we're fucked!

And saying it won't be used for ammo is just plain stupid, OF COURSE IT WOULD, it's a sack full of stones, it's a pretty universal concept, sacks of stones aren't limited to being used as ammo, last time i checked there was nothing stopping me from taking a stone our of a sack and placing it on the floor...

No.

seed pouch, nope?
traveller's sack, nope?
backpacks are kind of like sacks... nope to them too?

it's this issue of people mistaking convenience for laziness or "casual" gameplay, if jorbtar made foraging instant like they did in salem, it would be an implementation for convenience, since there is NO reason that it takes time, just as there is no reason why not to have sacks for certain objects that don't make sense to take a full inventory space, like stones or seeds
