Digging up terrain and placing of terrian

Postby wantsome » Fri May 11, 2012 5:00 am

I think that we should be able to dig up terrain and also place terrain. Like dig up dirt to have a moat around our walls (kind of like a protection from rams from destroying our walls) or to make a mini river in the middle of a village to give it a nice looking area kinda like a park or something. And placing of dirt(only from removing terrain from a different area) to add more area to an island that some of us spawn at in the beginning of the game. BUT the only way to do this is to learn a skill that could be called "Terrains-Forming" that will cost about 1,000 LP or more to learn. i think this will be a great idea because it gives us players a little more options to change the actual terrain around us rather then just cutting down trees, removing stumps, replanting trees, and farming. This is just a thought but i kinda wanna see if any other players like this idea.

Comments?

Not really. The devs could make catapaults to make up with this.

Hmm... I like this idea:

Catapult the houses inside the village, at least one of them will have the hearth fire of the guy your trying to kill. Now that you broke the house, you broke the HF, too, so you can now go back to your own village and summon kill whoever you had the scents for and you tracked down in near safety with only vandalism scents left behind!
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

have you played salem? adding another dimension to haven wouldn't work, for a start, in the mechanics, it's a sprite based game, there is no third dimension in haven, it's got some basic perspective since it's isometric and all that jazz, but to implement a land height system would basically require a whole new game engine... *cough*salem*cough*
Oh boy, here I go cheesemaking again...

Haha, the thought of Jorb and Loftar making anything this century is hilarious.
