Absolutely, they could just change the icon to a lightbulb and alter the mouse over text. lol

@DDDsDD999: That's why I said almost.

@zacty: Isn't ordo latin for order or something?

@Avarice: there was another suggestion a while back (forget how long ago) saying something that curios should be a "right now" bonus and then be a "cooldown" on the number of points used or some such so you get the same LP per hour as you do currently. I think the difference was that the cooldown was the same as the current study time and so nothing was really different about it.

The big change in Salem is that you study your curios in a few minutes (can take quite a while if you are really low on black bile--the brain engery, but be really fast if you have a lot of it). There is no cooldowns, and you can study again right away. You just need to keep filling up your black bile with food.

Sounds like a good system imo. Seems they took the FEP idea and made it work for multiple things beside stat gain.

Probably creates a lot of choice as well on what you want to eat and when, depending on what you need the most at the time.

Could do an extended release, every 30 minutes to an hour, the Curio ticks down on LP. Quality effects how much is gained at one time.

Other then that, I like this idea. +1

I see no reason for this. Active players already have an advantage because they can make more curios than inactive players. After they are done making those and are studying them then they can focus on doing constructive work around the village. This makes the curios system better than the old system because players can gain lp while they do work which previously wouldn't be worth doing. Implementing a system like proposed means that, in order to be competitive players have to focus on grinding.

Lots of peopole just make curios with crafter alts, and cycle them through combat alts, myself included.

I don't really see whats wrong with that. I then get to use my playtime doing something I like/need to do rather than having to focus on gaining lp
