Home Bonus

If you are close to your HF, or on the same claim as where your HF is set, you get a small bonus (maybe 5% combat, -5% weariness, a small boost to stam regen ect)

If you are far away from your HF, or on a different claim, you get homesick and recieve a small drain on some abilities (higher stam loss, lower combat abilities ect)
The drain from homesickness could start out small, and grow over time, with a maximum that isn't crippling.

This would discourage vaults, and also provide a boost to defenders.
My rationalising behind this is that most people feel more comfortable in their home, whereas they are uncomfortable in other's homes, especially if they're doing something wrong.

Ideas?

What about Villages/Group Settlements?
Some people don't have their own claims and live under one PClaim/VClaim.

In the case for Pclaims, I live with my friend on his claim, I don't own my own claim seeing as we have a smalle area.
Scooby Doo taught us that the real monsters are humans.

Most productive comment possible, gj on achieving that.

As far as FictionRyu's question, it's based on where your HF is set, so if you or your village is all on one persons mega-claim, then you would get your bonus on that claim (ie. at home).
Today is a good day to die.

Bad idea. I don't want to be gimped because of a technicality. This is a permadeath game and adding unneeded debuffs isn't ideal.

So basically, this can be easily abused by just moving a hearth fire to wherever you want to for the time or avoided by just breaking your hearth fire?

Also, what's getting debuffed here? The only thing you don't do near your home anyway is fight and forage.

While there's no rules against posting bad ideas, you'd think a desire for a positive rep would dictate a person doesn't post lame crap.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
