Religious discrimination in game mechanics

Postby inol » Wed Aug 01, 2012 11:24 am

Important question. Can my character eat meat in Christian fast?

Different foods give different stats. Player with some religious views is limited to take up stats of his character. Let's stop religious discrimination. Hindus do not eat beef and Muslims do not eat pork. Is it possible to compensate this in game mechanics?

Change all meats' images to vegetables.
People are capable of kindness angels can only dream of, yet can commit sins that put demons to shame.

I'm not even sure you have a point. Just like in real life, those things continue to exist and yet those who follow those religious beliefs still don't eat them. They do not simply disappear. There are multiple ways to compensate for any given diet, whether or not they are as efficient is beside the point. It is your choice not to eat them and if it is that important to you then bear the consequences.

But it is a fraud and consequently, in the issue it is a sin.

How about we all just punch you in your cock instead of paying any attention to this ridiculous thread?

I don't understand. You aren't killing/hurting anything. You just click some buttons and have your character eat some virtual meats. In a video game.

How about a tattoo on you forehead, "do not forget to create heartfire before you going to sleep"?

Yes and while we're at it, should we stone all female hearthlings for wearing pants?

I think I should discuss this with a priest.
