Oceans \ Sea

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Oceans \ Sea

Postby TheG4MER14 » Wed Sep 12, 2012 9:51 pm

I think it would be cool if on one side of the world, there would be an ocean. A massive body of water coating an entire edge of the map, or maybe even in a corner. On the ocean there might be islands, some big, some smaller. This is just the basic idea, I can think of many other possible things that could be included with the ocean. Such as, new ocean fish, perhaps an island biome, and maybe being able to build ships (just a big boat, like a water version of a wagon). This is just an idea i had while playing. Let me know what you think, and feel free to suggest what you think could be in the ocean.

I'd rather have a better overall map generation instead of a huge ocean surrounding eveything.

I was thinking of an ocean on one side of the map, not surrounding all edges of the world. (that is what you were talking about inst it?)

And yes new map generation would be nice, but that's not what this post is about :?

In that case, I don't like this idea.

People are capable of kindness angels can only dream of, yet can commit sins that put demons to shame.

The North Ocean, the East Ocean, the Baltic Ocean - we just call them sea instead of lake ;)

What do you not like about it?

The notion of the world being surrounded on one or more sides by a large boundry of water, what this entire idea is.
