Postby Krakatoah » Mon Nov 16, 2009 2:02 am

WHenever i try to open the autohaven client from using the link on top of the page, i get a java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: socket error every time my java client tries to download the stuff...is there anything i can do to well, you know, make the whole thing work?

Can you post the more complete error message? Does http://www.havenandhearth.com/java/haven.jnlp work?

It seems kinda weird, but I'd guess the key is this:

Could it be that you have some weird and/or illegal proxy settings set for Java? (Mind you, Java uses its own Proxy settings, which you can check/change in the Java control panel)

Ah, that did it, changed the proxy settings back to default and everything went smoothly.
