Sure, so if somebody says 'how would said feature deal with problem X' I could make a possible suggestion, as opposed to 'this idea won't work because x'.

Have the devs stated anywhere that they have changed their mind and don't intend to re-work the game in the future? I'm fairly sure this is still their intention.

that wasn't saying it won't work because X, but asking how you'd deal with that problem...and it has been said on multiple occasions they don't plan to limit accounts/characters and since an account can make unlimitted characters even if they limitted accounts it wouldn't stop you from making 500 alts on 1 account!

also since you ignored the rest of my post:
what of the problems with summoning people anywhere since they don't have a HF?
how does this in any way make the game more fun?
how many current players will just get annoyed and quit if this crap is added?

I didn't ignore your post SuperNoob. I was replying from my phone and going into suggesting specifics seemed unnecessary, seeming as there are so many possible work arounds providing the underlying idea is useful. I then went and responded to your specific points later if you go and have a look. If you felt I was rude, well maybe I would have replied more nicely if you had been nice to start with.

Where is the problem? 'Summoning ' somebody is only required if their character disappears when logged out. If their character is always represented in the game in some form, then it is simply a matter of finding their avatar.

See original post, under 'why'.

Hopefully you would. :D

i like road based teleportation but removing hearth fire has some serious problems and shouldn't even be part of this post, imo.

You have changed your post significantly since I made mine.

I like this idea, but so many things would have to change for it to work. The map generator for example, it would be impossible to do with all these rivers everywherebring on continents and seas!, and if it takes a few days irl to get from one side of the map to the other, even if you can travel while logged out (ie on a wagon) this poses the problem of people attacking you while not logged in.

Hopefully this is the sort of direction that the devs plan to head in, forcing alliances to be close together geographically. But that causes problems with the node resource system the way it is.

Haven would be a completely different game. It would be more like salem, without boston, and without the horrible farming and quality and exp systems.

Also, it kinda ruins a game if you have to play for another 30mins just to log out. for your character always being in the world, great, but you should be able to teleport back to home and log out at any time other than when you're in combat.

Actually it's pretty much what I originally wrote, but for some reason it got cut off mid-way when I posted it. It's a bit difficult writing a lengthy post from a phone. >.<

You would be wise not to even post concrete suggestions for Jorb and Loftar. They have stated repeatedly that they won't ever implement concrete ideas that have been presented to them.

It's best to just post extremely broad topics and instead let them come up with the precise details... it's almost like suggesting concrete ideas will somehow ensure that they won't ever be added to the game--an imaginary "checklist" of sorts.

Sure, but I don't think the details matter so much as the general idea, that distance (and hence road building) is meaningful, giving incentive for people to care about what is inbetween points A and B.

I like the idea of a proper road system and all the additions that come with normal travel and further possibilities it would open up with regard to trade and social interaction but I'm afraid I'm against the idea of being forever in-game in a permadeath game. :(

The risks would naturaly be much more prevelent than they are now and it's hard enough for new people with griefing as it is now. If everytime I left the game for work or to sleep I come back to a dead char I honestly wouldn't play the game. From my own perspective, I work a lot, lol, I travel for it and am often out of game for a few days. On top of this, my parents live in Australia, (i'm in britain), so once a year I'm out of the game for anything from 4 - 6 wks, I already have kittens each time I go, lol, expecting to return to no village, so far I've been lucky but without at least some security from being logged off that would be hardly likely in the future.

So, what idea's do you have in mind to solve this problem via restrictions?

I'm not sure exactly what the devs have in mind, but I suspect they would want your avatar to be in game, but not necessarily as though it were 'logged in' if you get what I mean. For example, when you are sleeping in bed you are invulnerable (unless summoned) but your avatar is represented as being at a specific location.
