Here's what has happened so far in the settlement we have come to call New Wurstoneville:

We have progressed nicely and set up a new camp not far from the old one. Our palisade took another three days to set up since Garlicman insisted on adorning our walls with hops to supposedly please the gods, causing me no end of paranoia... but the end result justifies it I believe.
Our group was struck by its first murder at the hands of some sneaky hearthlings. Zero was exploring the rivers when he was hailed by two hearthlings on the shore, they coveted his boat and started negotiating a price when all of a sudden one of them swimmed out and knocked Zero clean out, took the boat and sailed away, perhaps a small price to pay since it led them away from their path to our lightly protected camp.

We mapped the majority of our supergrids river system and then some more, unfortunately our mapping party happened upon the unreasonably hostile
village of Mirigod, and the luckless Zero was once again made a victim of and murdered.

We killed our first bear and entered the Bearcape Age, our ravenous bear slaughtering came at a price however and we also lost one of our best hunters and fishers to one, but she was soon avenged by her descendant.

Now our palisade is up, the crops are growing nicely and the ovens are baking their bounty, we have also established trading relations with a nearby village that has supplied us with some much needed metal as well as sent a diplomat to Brodgar. We try to help passing nudist nubs as well by giving them leftover seeds, food and equipment and some helpful tips, and we leave any other leftovers in baskets outside our claim.
Our nearby mostly friendly neighbours recently founded a village, but the ill-fated Zero on his third incarnation who had not yet familiarised himself with them greeted them in Cyrillic forgetting to switch his keyboard layout and was immediately killed. He has now chosen to take a break which means we're without our only smith and miner, hopefully we can manage without him for a while.

Anyway, until next time, now it's harvest season!
