Paving near water

Postby krikke93 » Fri Jun 28, 2013 10:35 am

We used to be able to pave near water. I know we can't now, because of those swamp or island vaults that were undestroyable, but can't we just make it so that you're not able to BUILD next to water in stead of pave?
Paving on a half water, half land tile was sooooo beautiful and now all our docks look all stupid :(
Hope you have a great day

use union client, and tiles are either one thing, or another. It looks so much better.

I figured out from some noob's screenshot you don't actually have to pave for certain things...

ie: you have to pave for an initial palisade cornerpost, but don't have to pave to extend it(may only work on grass)

Yep.

I'm pretty sure that if you could extend palisade on grass ... it would have already been detected/reported. (Never tried it myself though.)

I agree.

I understand the need to restrict building near water, but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to pave the ground around it, as said it makes docks look so much better.

Edit:

Im positive this was suggested immediately after paving was removed from near water. It was, and still is the most obvious solution...

Allow boards as a paving material. Wood docks for all.

EDIT: Remember when bricks were introduced as paving material? Fun times.
